I never felt a part of anything or that I could do anything right. I always seemed to let people down. I lost every horse friend that I made and never knew where they went or what happened to them. But here, I get to be a part of it all. I’m asked how I feel. I’m asked what is important to me. I’m grateful to be asked. My favorite time of day is as the sun comes up and light returns to our barn and I see all of my friends. We are a herd together. And then the humans arrive and they care for us. Truly care for us. I love every moment of it all.”
