From Cora – “Everyone expects a donkey to be loud and to sing their song. But I am a more quiet donkey. And there is nothing wrong with that. I live with a group of donkeys who have an awful lot to say. And there is nothing wrong with that either. I have been through a lot. More than our people here actually know about. It dimmed a part of my light because the darkness took a piece of my light away. I am ok now. But sometimes, I just like to stand in my own quiet zone. My donkey friends understand that about me and give me space. I just cannot get enough of silence and peace. It is healing my soul. So when you see me standing off by myself, please don’t think I’m sad or lonely. I am healing. And my friends who I have held space for through great times of crises, understand what I need and hold space for me now to heal. I am very grateful for peace and quiet and finding comfort in being loved. That’s all I really need.”
