Clarence

Clarence is a mini-donkey gelding estimated to have been born in 2016 and came to the farm in July 2024. Clarence came to us after being rescued from a large animal cruelty case. He was one of over 100 animals taken out of horrific conditions. We feel very fortunate to have Clarence here with us. We are watching him heal and seeing the real Clarence starting to emerge. He loves to have people visit him and is finding that he can trust his caretakers to be kind and give him all that he needs. It is the first time in his life that he has had that opportunity. We are watching him soak it all up.

Some of my friends in the old place didn’t live to see this and that makes me very sad. It fills me with gratitude to have found a way out of the darkness. I breathe everyday and every breath in gratitude to be alive.”
