Butters was born in June 2025 and came to live with us a few months later. Butters was born with a deformity to her tail called “corkscrew tail” and sadly, as she grew and got older, it became obvious that this deformity also caused nerve damage to her colon. Butters has trouble with motility in her colon and it causes her to get constipated. For her, this is potentially a life threatening problem. Right now we have things under control with medications and acupuncture. But Butters needs constant monitoring by our medical staff and will spend her life here with us. Meanwhile, none of this has dampened her spirit and joy for life. Butters brings on abundant kitten energy to her room of cat friends. Not all of them may appreciate it as much as she does but one thing for sure is that Butters is enjoying every single day of her life.
