Tulip is a pony mare estimated to have been born in 2009 and came to the farm in August 2024. Tulip came from a large animal cruelty case where she lived in very poor conditions. She was left wandering without fences or barn of any sort and had a hard time finding food and needed care. She has seen a lot of terrible things. She came to us emaciated and also has Cushings Disease that was never treated. Tulip also has a large growth on her face that is believed to be a cyst that is not operable. She is now being treated for her Cushing’s Disease as well as getting the much needed care that she deserves. Tulip is slowly putting on weight and is very happy to be in a barn with other friends. She is now paired up with our pony Charlie and the two of them are very happy to be together. Tulip will receive everything she needs and the love that she deserves. We are happy to have her here with us.
“I am so relieved to feel safe again. I love having my own food and a soft and dry place to rest. To feel like I am wanted and part of a family again is the greatest feeling in the world. I am just resting in that feeling and knowing of being safe. I am grateful every day for that.”
