José

José arrived at the farm in late 2019. He was born in 1990. José was in desperate need of a home before winter set in and we were able to offer him a place to heal. He was in pretty rough shape when he came to us and he has spent the winter putting on some much needed weight. José is finding his way here in our herd and understanding that he will never need to move again. We are watching him unfold as he figures all of that out and recuperates.

“I am grateful to find my place to belong. It has taken me a while to understand that it is ok just to be me. I have seen a lot of things in my life and been a lot of places. But this time I am here for me. It is a blessing and I am very grateful.”
