Velvet

Velvet came to the farm in 2014 when she was just 1 week old. When she was old enough, she was adopted with her littermate sister Mocha. They stayed in that home together until in 2022 when sadly their person was put in a nursing home and no one could take in the cats. Velvet and Mocha were returned to us here. Both had a hard time adapting to the change. But they were very lucky to have a human friend, Bob, who knew them when they lived at their previous home. Bob stopped by to visit them every single day until they finally started to come out of hiding and trust us. They now are doing well here with us. And Bob continues to come and visit with them.

Velvet is the most skittish of the two cats. She’s very vocal and loves to be hand fed.
