Odin is estimated to have been born in 2022 and came to the farm in January 2024. Odin was part of a city feral cat colony and was found with a badly injured eye. He was trapped and brought to us to see what could be done. When our veterinarian took one look at him she knew his eye had to be removed as it had ruptured. Clearly, Odin was in a lot of pain. Once the eye was removed, Odin actually started to give us signs that he was not feral after all. Within a couple of weeks, he was soliciting us to touch and pet him. Then, we noticed that he had trouble eating. Another exam showed that he had a bad case of stomatitis necessitating that all his teeth be removed. While that sounds so dramatic, cats can still eat after that surgery and in fact feel so much better. That was the case for Odin. Clearly, not feral, we knew he could undergo surgery and live out the rest of his days here in our sanctuary.
Odin is thriving here with us. He is super friendly and gets along very well with his new cat friends. He is now pain-free and a healthy cat.
