Nutter came to the farm as a kitten in 2009. He had been taken in by someone as a stray kitten but they couldn’t meet his needs. As it turned out, Nutter was very shy. Nutter is a perfect example of how important it is to give a cat their space to figure things out. He could easily have been labeled feral or unsociable, but Nutter just needed space and time to figure things out for himself. He was great with his cat friends and through those friendships and those of his patient human caretakers, Nutter learned not to be as afraid. He is now one of the friendliest cats in his room and is quite a talker.
