2010 WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

New Workshop!

In 2010 I am excited to be offering a new workshop and taking a new direction with the focus of my teaching.  I will no longer be offering the Awakening the Heart or Listening from the Heart workshops.  Instead, I am embarking upon a new focus into the depths of heart and spirit and the journey between life and death.  Over the past 22 years, the animals have shared so much with me from spirit about their lives, their loves, and their passing from one world to the next.  Throughout my life I have also done a lot of work both in person and long distance with people and animals in the process of crossing into spirit.  I will now be sharing much of this information in a 2 day workshop setting.  This will not be an instructional workshop on animal communication.  Although the animals will be included, this will not be a workshop that is focused on working with them. Instead, this will be a discussion about one of the most sacred times we all will experience in our lives. I will be sharing with you what the animals have shared with me about their journeys into spirit, and about how that information affects the way they live their lives, and can change the way we live ours.

EMBRACING SPIRIT/DEMYSTIFYING DEATH

A Conversation on Death, Dying, and Our Connection to Our Souls
with Dawn Hayman

“Why are you so sad?” asked the cat as she curled up on my lap.
“One of our horses just died and I am filled with grief because I miss her,” I replied.
“Oh,” said the cat, “do you remember last week when the cat gave birth to kittens here and how excited you all were?  Why were you so excited about that?”
“Because it was a chance to welcome in new life and the excitement of a new beginning.” I answered.
The cat snuggled in closer to me.  Then quietly, filling my heart with her wisdom, she said:

“Well, where your horse friend just went, she was greeted by friends who felt exactly the same way you felt watching those kittens arrive.  They are really excited to have their friend back.  And when those kittens were born, there were friends of theirs in spirit who feel just like you feel now.  What you feel all depends which side of the circle you are on.”

Death and Life are parts of the same Sacred Circle.

Join me in a conversation about death.  It will change the way that you see life.

From a dog moments before he left his body:  “ Hold on to our memories together. Know that our hearts will always still touch.  That, no matter where I am, I will feel your love for me at all times.  Understand that my life has been completely fulfilled and that with you, I found everything I came to find and did everything I came to do. And what I take with me now from having been loved by you, I will carry forward with me into my next experience. I will be back and you will know me.”

Since I was a child I have been aware of guides working with me in both the physical and spirit realms.  And I have become aware of being “called,” both while waking and while sleeping, to assist both humans and animals passing from the physical into spirit.  Hence, I, like many others who, whether aware or unaware, engage in this “work,” have been able to glimpse what is there “on the other side,” and to comfort and guide those who I am called to help “cross over.”

Most of my waking experience with this work has been with animals.  In the course of tens of thousands of consultations with animals, and during my twenty-three years here at Spring Farm, I have talked with thousands who were preparing to make the transition, sat beside and held hundreds as they slipped into spirit, then talked with thousands who were already in spirit.  And, when dealing with animals who are crossing over or who have crossed over, their messages are filled with comfort and wisdom.

The animals have asked me to share this comfort and wisdom with you, and with Humanity.  They want me to tell you of their cherished memories, the joy of their journeys, what they found, felt, experienced along the way, and, most essentially, their appraisals of whether or not they accomplished what they had come into life to accomplish, and how these accomplishments came about.  They have asked me to help Humanity demystify death and embrace spirit.

From a horse, only with us for 5 days and who died unexpectedly:  “As I left my body, it was like I went through a beam of light and in that light I could relive all the memories of my life.  The time as a foal with my mother.  The mare who became my friend for many years.  My human friend who taught me about working together.  A butterfly that I watched when I was a silly youngster.  That butterfly was just a brief moment in my life, but I got to relive it, and  if that’s what I wanted to focus on, I could stay there as long as I wanted to.  I reviewed them all.  I may have only been with you for a few days, but I left with you, in your heart, all the fondest memories of my life. I gave you my legacy.  All the pictures that warmed my soul are now within you and within the energy of your farm.  And then I galloped off to a big field where many of my friends were waiting for me. My life is now complete.”

Death is often shrouded in mysticism, supposedly understood by only the masters or the highly evolved, or our religious leaders.  Yet, death will be faced by every living being regardless of their stature in our society.  No one avoids the process of death, but so few become a part of the conversation.  Our society looks upon death as something that is not to be understood. Many of us are told by our spiritual leaders that we are not ever to understand it.  But, just like breathing, if you are alive, you are sure to experience it.  Because of this, many of us go through life in fear of this great unknown.  We have more questions than answers, and often can’t express our thoughts on the topic.  Even when faced with imminent death, it is uncomfortable at best, forbidden at worst, to discuss it with our loved ones.

How can something so fundamental to our lives, be omitted from our daily discussions?  How can it be permitted to linger in the darkness, lurking as a foreboding force that will eventually overtake us?  Why should it remain a mystery?  And why do we let this fear control so much of our lives, interfering with our truly being able to understand life and enjoy living?  Why do we ascribe to the belief that only the truly enlightened can understand death and talk about it?  Why do we succumb to fear of the unknown by shrinking back from asking questions and finding out more so that it becomes a known to us?  Why do we let those who we perceive to have the answers to what death is, have control over the destiny of our souls?

It is time for the discussion to begin and to deepen.  It is time to take the mystery out of death itself.  To deny a discussion about death is to ignore at least half of the importance of our lives.

Workshops will be 2 full days, limited to 10-12 people, and held in a special space, wrapped in the energy of the farm.  We will also spend time BEING with the farm and the animal residents and nature, to ground us in the depth of Life, as offered by the farm.  This workshop will not offer animal communication exercises.   We will start the conversation from the understanding that our hearts are the physical connection to our souls.
