SPRING FARM CARES
ADOPTION HALL OF FAME
Thanks to all of you for opening your hearts and homes to these amazing beings!! Thanks to you, they now have lives filled with love and care, and a place they call home.
December 2011
Winter and Beans went to join their new bunny friend Rango in time for Christmas. Actually, this family fostered the litter of lionhead bunnies after they were born here and they fell in love with these two and knew they just had to stay. This litter was born here at the farm after their pregnant mother was brought in.
Toby was originally found under someone's porch as a stray. Now Toby is one lucky boy who is sure he found a wonderful family with 2 great kids to share his life with. We are sure the three of them will enjoy growing up together and sharing some great memories for many years to come.
Ringo went to his new home where he is now cherished for his wonderful, loving personality and big heart. Ringo was originally found as a stray on someone's porch. The person rescued him from the cold but Ringo didn't work out in their home so he was brought here. He wasn't here for long when his new family found him and knew he was the one for them. (Unfortunately, we do not have a photo with his adopter.)
Guiness and Gable went to their new home together. There they can share double the kitten fun with their new family. These two were born here when their very pregnant mother was found as a stray. We were happy to see them go together to grow up playing together and sharing twice the amount of joy.
Francine originally was turned in by her caretaker who could no longer care for her. She can be a bit of a challenging bunny but her new person saw through to her big heart and offered her a forever home.
Gelato and Gilson were born here at the farm after their very pregnant mother was found as a stray. They headed off with their new family where they now can be adored while they grow up together and also share all of their wondeful kitten energy and love.
Stella Luna was originally found as a stray on someone's porch. When no owner could be found, she was brought here for us to place. Now she has her very own home and warm place to live, never to have to be lost or abandoned again.
Butterscotch and Sugarbear got adopted together. Their story touched all of our hearts. Both are adult cats with special needs and both had been adopted once and returned, due to no fault of their own. They have lived with us for a long time and we thought they were probably permanent residents. Favorites among many of the staff and volunteers, they are two very loving souls. And the two boys got a Christmas miracle as their gift this year. A family came in who fell in love
with them and wanted to give them a chance together in their home. We are already getting updates that they are starting to settle in. These are two very special and very lucky cats who found their way to a very special family.
Barley was the last of her litter to be adopted and we are all so happy for her. She and her littermates were found abandoned on someone's porch when they were very young kittens. Barley now goes to her new home just in time for the holidays.
Joel is a miracle story from start to finish. Brought in as a very tiny kitten, he always was very sickly and appeared to have failure to thrive syndrome. No one expected this kitten to even make it past 6 months old. But then he surprised us all and suddenly blossomed. This fall, he turned one year old. Now a healthy and robust cat, one of his caretakers knew he belonged with her and she adopted him and took him home.
Shelby got her Christmas wish this year for sure. She was brought in to us at just 4 months old horribly injured with both of her front elbows shattered. Because the injuries were old and already healed, nothing could be done surgically to help her. We had to rely on an aggressive rehabilitation program to help her to walk. Luckily, her age was in her favor as young animals often can heal well. Four months later, and after a lot of hard work, Shelby can walk, run, and play like a normal dog. And her foster family was so attached to her and she to them, that it was obviously just the right fit. She is home. We are all so happy for her!! The photo is of her in her new home with her black lab buddy who she adores.
November 2011
Loki was brought in as a tiny kitten with 2 littermates. He was the last of the 3 to find his special home and we know he will share his orange cat magic and charm with his new family.
Zowdie and his new adopter brought tears to our eyes. Zowdie came in as an adult with very special needs. All of us fell in love with him and hoped that someday someone would walk in the door just for him. And someone did! Zowdie now has a loving home. We are so happy for him and his new person.
Reggie, now known as Pickle, got a new start at life with one of his caretakers who was with him from the minute we found him weak and immaciated and close to death. One of our staff had spotted him running across our yard, obviously he had been dumped here at some point. He was so weak that he collapsed on the other side of the highway and we were able to catch him. Shy, terrified, and very ill, he made an amazing comeback. And one of his caretakers just knew he was supposed to be with her. He now enjoys time with his new cat buddy and his new family.
Meredith found her special person to love and adore her. Originally brought in when she was found as a stray, we realized something was very wrong with her when she came in. A trip to our veterinarian showed that she had aborted a pregnancy but the fetuses were trapped inside of her. The person who found her literally saved her life. Emergency surgery was done and now she is a wonderfully healthy girl.
Snickers went to her new home with one of our volunteers who fell in love with her. She and her littermate brother were brought in by a good samaritan who rescued them off the street and then donated for thier care while they were here. Thanks to someone caring and helping, Snickers now has another chance at life.
Our beloved Sadie found her forever home. Sadie came to us as a small kitten who had been horribly abused. She had a badly broken leg and a fractured pelvis. She underwent major surgery with an orthopedic surgeon and then lots of TLC and rehab in one of our foster homes while she healed. Well, Sadie's luck changed the minute she entered our doors. Her foster mom fell in love with her and she is now all healed and zooms around the house so fast she is difficult to catch for a photo. She is one happy girl and we are so incredibly happy for her.
Sweet Ista found her forever home. We are so excited for this little girl! Ista was the tiniest of 12 kittens who were all brought in together from being found in a trailer park. All of them were horrendously ill. Ista was the weakest and smallest of them all, but she was the only one who survived. Left with a slight head tilt, most likely from distemper, she fought through pneumonia and the virus that took all her siblings and she survived. Ista is one tough cookie and a sweetheart all rolled into one.
Twizzler found his forever home. Twizzler came to us after a good samaratin rescued him and his sister and donated their vet care and spay/neuter. Thanks to her, he found a second chance in life.
Patsy was adopted into her new wonderful loving home. She originally came in with her mom and sister after they were found abandoned. They were covered in ticks from head to tail and Patsy had a severe eye infection. Unfortunately the eye had to be removed, but it didn't slow Patsy down at all.
Odin came in to the farm with his three siblings after they were found abandoned. We know that he will now know the love of a wonderful home and supply them with plenty of kitten antics as he grows up.
Bella went to her new forever home where she will be loved and cherished. She was originally found sitting on the side of a road by one of our staff when she was just a very tiny kitten.
Kittybird found another chance at life in her new home. We are so thrilled to see someone give a seasoned mature cat another chance at having their very own loving home. Kittybird was originally adopted from us as a kitten but was recently returned when her family could no longer keep her. It was very hard on her to be returned and we are very grateful to her new person for giving her another chance.
Oats came to Spring Farm with his 4 siblings and his mother when he was just one day old. They were found in a box left on our porch. Mom did a great job raising the kids. And now Oats gets to go home to his new life with a wonderful family to love.
Peas and Beans got adopted together for double the fun and mischief. They originally came in with three other siblings with their mother at just one day old, found in a box on our front porch. We know they will share lots of playtime and snuggling together with their new family.
Dena found her forever home with a wonderful couple where she will get to share all her kitten antics and energy and be loved and cherished for the wonderful cat she is.
Birdie and Bramble are sisters who were found as kittens on a golf course. One was found one day and the second was found the next day. We are thrilled that they got adopted together as a pair. This family scored a hole in one adopting this lovely pair.
October 2011
Hughes and Walker found their new home together. They were found in a box with their 4 siblings and were the last two left. We were thrilled that they didn't need to be split up and one left alone. Now they will bring double the kitten energy to their new family. They also now join SFC adoptee Jimmy (below).
Irene finds her special home, out of the storm which brought her to us. Found with another kitten dumped in someone's yard in the middle of Huricane Irene, they were brought to us by a good samaratin who knew they'd get killed on the busy street if they didn't find safety soon. Her friend Ivanna was also adopted into a wonderful home.
Jimmy went to his new home with two other kittens. We were all pulling for Jimmy. He had been adopted from us 3 times and returned each time due to no fault of his own. Apparently he was waiting for just the right place. Now he is surrounded with humans who love him and kittens to play with as well.
Rhoda went to a very loving home. She was the last of a litter of 7 to find their forever home and we were all so happy for her.
Langston found his special home. Originally found in a box with four siblings, they found refuge here until old enough to be adopted out.
Noah went home with one of our volunteers who fell in love with him. Noah is an incredible guy who everyone fell in love with instantly. But he had some special needs that we had to tend to first. He was found in a box on our porch, blind with eye issues. After two special surgeries at Cornell University, the eye problem was corrected and Noah was able to be adopted. He also has issues with his legs that cause him to walk funny. Noah is all about love and we are so happy for him to be with his very own family now.
King and Prince got to go to their new home together, where two kittens can provide twice the fun and loving. They came in along with their 4 siblings as newborn kittens, along with their mother. Luckily, all of them found wonderful homes.
Ace was from a litter of 6 kittens that came to the farm as newborns, along with their mother. All of them are now placed in loving homes.
Jester was one of 6 kittens that came in as newborns with their mother. All of them are now placed in wonderful homes.
September 2011
Ivanna went home to be with her new family. Ivanna was found abandoned with another kitten, Irene, during Hurricane Irene. A good samaritan scooped them up so that they didn't wander into the busy street where they had been dumped. We are so happy for Ivanna to have found her way not only through the storm and to safety, but also landing in a wonderful home.
Norns found his forever home. He was one of a litter of four kittens who were found abandoned. Now he can share all his kitten love with his new family.
Thor is now in a wonderful home where he will be forever loved. Full of energy and character, Thor had come to us as a tiny kitten and now has a home of his own.
Zora found her special forever home. She arrived here as a tiny homeless kitten and now she will know the love of a family where she can play and share all her kitten energy and be cherished!
Naranja found a wonderful home. This is the second time Naranja was adopted from us. He originally came as a tiny kitten and was adopted but later returned due to circumstances in his family. Naranja really wanted a place of his own and we were all so thrilled for him when he was chosen to be a very special friend.
Tammy went to her new home where she will be loved and cherished. Tammy came in as a homeless kitten and now she will be filling her new home with all the fun and games of a kitten.
August 2011
Ginger bunny was adopted by Leo bunny. Leo was looking for a special friend and had his people bring him to the farm to pick out his very own housemate. As you can see, they hit it off very well.
Rita and Rebecca are littermates who got adopted into their new home together. They were part of a litter of 7 kittens who came here very young in their lives. We are thrilled for them that they get to grow up together.
Fresia, Sweet Pea, and Oleander all went to a wonderful home together. We are so excited by this trio getting a home that they can share. Fresia came to the farm with a litter of kittens that she raised very nicely. And then two orphaned kittens showed up on our doorstep. Although much younger than her own, Fresia accepted them right along with her own kittens and raised them. The three of them were very bonded and little Sweet Pea, in particular, needed special loving care as she was slower in growing than the others. It is rare to find an adoption where someone takes three and we were very excited for this special trio.
Ginger and Gadzooks went to their home together. Ginger first came to us as a kitten and then was returned to us as an adult. She was here for a long time before she found just the right home again. Gadzooks was found abandoned as a 6 month old kitten and has been here for several months waiting for just the right home. We were thrilled these two got to go to their new home together.

Here are Clover and Carrot in their new home, getting some outdoor time. Both were adopted from SFC and are enjoying each other's company in a most wonderful home.
Pirouette found her new forever home and she did it very quickly. She had only been here at the farm for 2 days when her new adopter came and picked her out.
Chrissy was born here when her homeless pregnant mother was brought to the farm. Chrissy now has a family to share her life with and to share her heart with as well.
Marley came to us when her person could no longer care for her properly. Now Marley has found a wonderful home where she will be loved and cherished. We are all so happy for Marley!
July 2011
Magic came to us when someone had rescued her and tried to integrate her into their home however she didn't get along with the other cats and preferred to be alone. One of our staff fell in love with her and she with them and the rest is history.
Tibby has lived with us for eight years. He came after he fell out of his breeders window who then didn't want him back. He had to be trapped in a humane trap to be caught as he was incredibly shy. Tibby is a cat with some very special needs and we always hoped just the right home would come along for him. It took 8 years, but Tibby found just that special home who understand his breed and his needs. Hooray for Tibby!
Hoss has found a second chance at life in his new home. Hoss was originally found left in a cardboard box on our property. He had broken out of the box but luckily we were able to find him and he let us handle him to get him inside. Now he will know a loving home and safety.
Tyler bunny originally came from a neglect situation. But now his life has totally changed. He is now loved and adored by a very special young man who will give Tyler something he has never had before - a heart to share with and love him. Tyler is one lucky bunny and we are so happy for him. (We apologize for the poor photo quality.)
Jonquil was born here when his homeless, pregnant mother was brought to our farm. We are thrilled to see him now in a loving home sharing all of his kitten energy.
Roulette was originally found with her six littermates under someone's porch. Now she knows the love and safety of a forever home.
Murphy originally was found in a trailer park all by himself as a tiny kitten. Now he is part of a family where he is loved and cherished and won't have to be alone again.
Sunflower went to her forever home. She was born here after her homeless, pregnant mother arrived at our farm. She joins another cat previously adopted from us.
Matilda and Maya went to their new home together. We are sorry for the poor photo quality. Matilda and Maya are guinea pigs who survived a horrible house fire where others of their friends did not survive. They now live in a wonderful home with a young boy who adores them.

May 2011
Henry went to his new home where he will be loved and adored. This is Henry's third home and we think the third time is the charm for him. Henry has been through a lot in his life but he still is full of joy and love. We are sure he will share all of that in his new home.

Now they have another chance again and we are so happy to still see them together as they are both really bonded to one another.
Pisces found his new forever home. Unfortunately we do not have a photo with his adopter due to a technical glitch. Pisces was one of 4 kittens who came in as strays at a very young age. Pisces was the last of them to find his home and we are so excited for him!
Toby found his forever home with just the right family for him. Now he will know a life of being loved and treasured as a member of his very own family.
March 2011
Lissa found her special family. Lissa originally came to us very pregnant. None of us could believe our eyes when she gave birth to 8 kittens. She is the feline octomom and holds the record at SFC for the most kittens in one litter ( a record we hope will never be broken!). She was a fantastic mother and now can just relax knowing she doesn't have to do that again!
Petey is a very special bunny who found a wonderful home with a previous adopter who wanted to get her other bunny a companion. We are thrilled to see Petey get another chance in a home.

They were adopted from us as a pair when they were younger, but due to a change in circumstances, the family could no longer keep them and they were returned. They were with us for about 8 weeks when they found a wonderful home where they still can be together and surrounded by love.
Gretta aka Bert has found her forever family again in an incredible reunion story! Gretta was found as a stray in a grocery store parking lot in October 2009 and has been with us since. Today, a man looking to adopt a kitten came to the farm and was telling us about a cat he had lost over a year ago named Bert. He had actually had Bert since she was a kitten but, many years ago, had a situation in his life where he couldn't keep her and he brought her to us, when he had no where else to go. When his situation changed, and he could have a cat again in his life, he came back to Spring Farm and Bert was still here so he adopted her back. That was in 2004. He adored Bert and was devastated when back in the fall of 2009, she disappeared. She had been wearing a collar and ID tag but no one called to say they found her. He told that story to the staff as they showed him around. When the staff took him into one of the rooms to look at some other adoption candidates, the man suddenly exclaimed, "That's her! That's my Bert!" As soon as Gretta heard him, she went to him and the rest as they say is history. Both of them were so relieved to find one another and a very emotional reunion took place. No one will ever know the mystery as to how she got to a town 15 miles away from where she lived, to a grocery store parking lot where she was meowing at every car until someone noticed and called us to pick her up. And now, 16 months later, she finds the person who so desperately missed her and couldn't find her. She was one very happy and relieved girl today!
Jazmine found her forever home with a family who understands her shyness and who has worked with her for weeks here at the farm before officially adopting her into their home. Jazmine was originally brought to the farm with two kittens when her people could no longer keep her. We are happy that she now has a loving home.
Maizy was found on an abandoned farm in a building that was being torn down. Brought to the farm, she was obviously very upset from having been abandoned. She cried and cried for days unless she was held and comforted. One of our staff fell in love with her and took her home. Now she is a very happy girl!
Harmony was one of 11 kittens brought in when someone was hired to tear down an old shed and unexpectedly found all these cats underneath it. Most of them were semi-feral and Harmony was one of those. We sent her out to be fostered for socialization and the foster family ended up falling in love with her and keeping her. We do not have a photo of her in her new home yet and this photo is of how terrified she was the day we brought her in to our facility. She is much happier now!
January 2011
Gemini found his forever home. He originally came to the farm with his 3 siblings after they were found abandoned as very young kittens. Now he will have a chance of having his very own family and a new start at life.
Jenee has found her forever home. Jenee was a recipient of our Serenity Fund after she had been dumped on a farm and then was badly injured in a piece of farm machinery. She went to a special orthopedic surgeon who was able to save her leg by putting a large plate in. She fully recovered and has been waiting for just the right place to share her love. Jenee is an incredibly sweet cat and we are so happy for her.
Euclid was originally adopted from as as a kitten and then returned when the people could no longer keep him. Lucky for him, he now has found his forever home with a wonderful family who cherish him.
Max came to the farm and found his forever home all in the same day! After being abandoned in an apartment when his first people moved, he was then brought to a veterinarian to be euthanized when there were no other options. The veterinarian however just knew that Max was very adoptable and instead had him signed over to her so that she could find a place for him. She called us and we agreed to take him in. Within 3 hours of being here, someone came in looking to adopt a kitten and fell instantly in love with Max. This is a cat who was very blessed to be just in the right places at the right times.
Donner and Blitzen went to their new home together! Brought in with their mother, these two kittens were inseparable. They quickly let us know that they just had to go to a home together. And they started out the new year with just that. We are so happy for these two wonderful kittens. Now they can continue to run, play, and snuggle together.
