SPRING FARM CARES
ADOPTION HALL OF FAME
Thanks to all of you for opening your hearts and homes to these amazing beings!! Thanks to you, they now have lives filled with love and care, and a place they call home.
December 2010
Chester made our holidays this year after being chosen by his new family. He came here to the farm after living on the street for a year. Apparently his previous person moved and couldn't take Chester with them so they just put him outside and left. Some kind neighbors had been feeding him but realized he just wasn't doing well outdoors and with winter coming on, they called us to help. Chester was so happy to be inside once again and it broke our hearts to understand how miserable he had to have been living out in the elements alone. To see him go off to his new home just warmed all of our hearts. Way to go Chester!
Mocha was adopted by a previous adopter who also just happened to adopt Oogway. Now Mocha and Oogway will have lots of time to romp and play together. After adopting Oogway, they decided another kitten would be just the thing and came back for lucky Mocha.
Oogway went to a wonderful home with someone who had adopted from us before. Originally found as a stray with 3 siblings and no mother, he now will know a permanent home where he is loved and cherished.
Aspen and Fiesta went to their new home together! Bunny love times two. These two rabbits were part of a group of 25 bunnies taken from a neglect situation and brought to the farm. It is great to see them get a wonderful home.
Kodak has once again found his new home. He first arrived here as a kitten and was adopted into a home of his own. However, circumstances changed, his people had to move, and he found himself living with a dog who was not at all thrilled with cats. For Kodak's safety, they returned him to us. Now he has another chance for happiness and a place to call home.
Bill Bob found his forever home. He was brought to the farm after his person was unexpectedly sent to a nursing home. We are thrilled for Bill Bob to have a home for the holidays. He was a very special guy with lots of love to give. (We apologize for the quality of the photo. There was a glitch with our camera.)

Combo went to his new home where he can now romp and play and spread great kitten joy, while being loved and cherished. Combo had been found with 5 siblings abandoned in a box on the side of a road. Only 2 from that litter survived so Combo is a very lucky boy.
November 2010

Imax found his forever home right with one of our staff who just couldn't resist his incredible charm. Imax is one very special guy and we are thrilled he found such a special home. Imax was born with a problem with his cerebellum which makes him walk like he is constantly dizzy and just got off a fast spinning merry-go-round. But he is normal in every other way and is an incredibly delightful, fun-loving cat. Imax stole all of our hearts and we are thrilled he found a home who can meet his special needs and where he can live a normal life in his own unique way.
Colonel Jerrick Blimp has found his forever home. A kitten with a name bigger than himself, the Colonel was found as a very tiny kitten wandering around alone outside. He is a kitten who was confident he'd end up in just the right place and had no worries at all as to where life would take him. He was right.

Johnny went to his new home where he is loved and cherished for the very special heart worker that he is. Johnny was adopted from us first when he was a kitten. He went and lived with an elderly woman who really didn't have anyone else in her life. Johnny was incredibly loving with her and took care of her. When the woman died, Johnny was the only one with her and the story of what he did to let people know his beloved human friend had died is incredible. Now Johnny gets another family to share his heart with. Johnny was waiting for just the right people, and he let us know he found them.

Jazz and Reuben Rush went to their new home together. Jazz (the black one) had been dumped on a farm with other kittens and then brought to SFC to be raised. Reuben Rush (the white with orange one), littermate to Liza above, was found dumped in someone's yard. Now both of these kittens will never be abandoned again. And they get to share their playful antics with their new family! Double the fun!

Beauty and Lionel got to go to their new home together. We love pair adoptions! Both of these kittens had been found very young, abandoned, and in desperate need of care. Bottle fed, they grew up well, and now have found a wonderful home.
Teddy went to his new forever home. Teddy stole our hearts the minute he came in our door. People had found him hanging around their house and began feeding him. Obvious that he had been abandoned, they tried to take care of him. But they noticed that Teddy had what they thought was an injury on his neck. That injury turned out to be a very large tumor, which we found out about when we took him in here. He is a declawed, older, cat who was just put out on the street to fend for himself. The good news is that we had the tumor removed and the vet is hopeful it will not come back. Teddy is one lucky boy to have survived all of that and now know the comfort of a home again.
Mysterio found a wonderful home. He came from a situation where the people could not keep him as they were moving and he had nowhere else to go. We are thrilled for Mysterio to now have a place to call home forever.

Tebo found a wonderful family who opened their hearts and home to him. Tebo was found running on the side of a highway at only 8 weeks old with a severely injured front leg. Good samaritans stopped, picked him up, and brought him to us. Veterinarians suspect that he had been caught in a leg-hold trap. Unfortunately, the leg could not be saved and we had to have it amputated. But being three-legged did not bother Tebo in the least. He is still a very active and playful kitten. We are thrilled to see him get such a wonderful home!
Miss Scarlet went to her new wonderful home. She had come here as a kitten and had been adopted out once but was returned when their family situation changed. Now she will know a secure loving home.

Now they have a wonderful new life.

Cervantes found his forever home. We are sure his kitten antics will bring great joy to his new family.

Nikka went to her new home! She and her littermate, Marcus, were found very young and bottle fed by our staff. Now she has a wonderful home. We apologize for the poor photo quality!

Terrance went to his forever home. Terrance was found by one of our staff late one winter evening when he came streaking out of our barn. Obviously he had just been dumped and was terrified. Now Terrance will have a life of security and love.
Kirsten found her new home today. She had been found abandoned with her siblings and no mother. She was the last of her litter to go home and we are all so thrilled for her.
Marcella went to her new home to be a companion for Dean who was adopted from us earlier. It appears that Dean let his person know that he had so much play energy that he just needed someone his size to share it with. Marcella had been found as a stray after her mother was found killed by a car.
Finn and Lombardi went to their new home together. Finn was brought to SFC as a tiny kitten after being found high in a bush. Lombardi was found with his littermates living under a trailer with no mom in sight. Now both of these guys will have a wonderful new chance at life where they can grow up together and have a buddy to romp and play with.

July 2010
Georgia found her forever home! Georgia had a very rough start to life but did amazingly well. She was found on someone's lawn just having been born minutes before. She even still had the afterbirth attached. They brought her to SFC but she was already very hypothermic. Given to our resident orphaned kitten expert, Director Bonnie, she nursed her through and amazingly she survived. A special girl has now found a special home.
Mona was born at SFC when her pregnant mother was found abandoned in an apartment building. She captured the heart of one of our staff and set off for her new life. We know she will have a great life. Unfortunately, her adopter snuck out without a photo!
Mari Rose found a wonderful home where she has a chance to be loved again. She came to SFC after her human companion was hospitalized and could no longer care for her two cats. It is often hard to adopt adult cats out and so we are doubly thrilled for Mari Rose to have found her place.
Rhubarb went to his new home. He and his 4 siblings were found under a trailer with no mother, trying to survive on bugs and frogs. Now he will know a loving home with plenty to eat and not having to fight for his survival.
Po found his wonderful forever home. Originally found as a stray and brought to SFC he quickly won the heart of one of our staff. Po is quite a character and let us know from day one that he did not want to stay in a crate and he just knew he needed to go to his new home - NOW. His determination served him well! We know Po will have a great life.
Senor Pia went to his new home. His adopters just knew he was the kitten for them as soon as they saw his photo online. An extremely outgoing little guy, he is sure to find lots to do. He and his littermates were found abandoned in a trailer park. But now he is ready for a life of loving and playing and mischief.
Eddie went to his new home. We are so excited for Eddie to have landed in an extraordinary home. Eddie came to us after he was found as a stray badly injured. One of his back legs had to be amputated. He was in bad shape. One of his caretakers here fell instantly in love with him, and spent many of her breaks and lunches just cuddling with him and giving him extra special TLC. When he recovered, she decided to make their connection a permanent one and took him home. He is one very lucky cat!
Gato got to adopt his new person today, and that is just what he did. From the moment he met her, he just gravitated to her. Normally shy and reserved, he came out to meet her and just knew it was where he belonged. We are thrilled for Gato to have his very own home.

Valerie went to her new home where she will be loved and cherished. Valarie and the rest of her litter were found abandoned with no mother. We were able to put the kittens with another nursing cat who had just finished raising her own kittens and that momma then raised these kittens. So Valarie was very blessed to have found a volunteer cat mother to raise her. Unfortunately our camera malfunctioned the day of her adoption so we do not have a photo of her with her new family.
June 2010

Sam went to his new loving home today. He found himself a great home with people who really understand bunnies and who have adopted from us before.
Helen was adopted through our Seniors for Seniors program and immediately went to work being the best friend for her special senior. Helen walked right in the house, jumped up on the bed, and greeted her new person. Then she took a stroll through the house, checked out the view from the window, and went back to sit with her person. Clearly, Helen knew she was right at home and ready to share all the love she can.
Dillon found his forever home and we are very happy for him. He had been found as a stray and now will never have to go through that again. He will be spreading joy and having a great time.
Franklin found his person and headed out to a life of playing and learning and having a ball. He had come in with his two litter mates and was the last to be adopted. But he knew just the right person was coming for him.
Iris went to her new home where she will get to share her purrs and love. Iris was found dumped outside of our farm this past winter. She was so terrified that she wouldn't come to anyone. It took us four weeks and a whole lot of effort to finally catch her in a humane trap and bring her in to safety. Imagine our surprise when we opened the trap and out walked a very relieved, happy, purring, loving cat. She had just been so scared outside that she didn't know what to do. Iris was one of the lucky ones. There were several others who appeared about the same time and they have either been hit by cars or just disappeared on us. We are so happy that Iris made it to safety and a new home.
Paisley and Rocket were adopted together into a wonderful home where they are adored. Both cats had come to the farm together when their person could no longer take care of them. Both of them were pretty upset at the change in their lives but they stuck together, helped one another, and blossomed. Paisley is the more laid back of the two and Rocket, well, lets just say Rocket is aptly named. She is always on the fly.

Mr. Biggins and Charlotte both found wonderful homes with two sisters who live in separate apartments in the same complex. Mr. Biggins came to the farm after his person passed away and no one in the family could take him in. Charlotte came to us when her person could no longer care for her. Regretably, due to a technological problem, their photos are not available. But we are happy for these two cats who found another chance with someone to love and love them.
Snuggi went to her new home where she will be cherished and cared for. She now will have her very own person to snuggle up with and share her heart. Snuggi came to the farm after being abandoned and now she won't have to know that again.
April 2010
Kodak found his forever home with a child to romp and play with and of course to snuggle. It was love at first sight for Kodak and his new family. Kodak came into our facility with Powder after they had been dumped at someone's house. Now he can enjoy the love of a family who will cherish him.
Powder went to her new home where she will be loved and cherished. Powder is a lovely affectionate and playful cat. Powder came to our facility with Kodak after the two of them had been found dumped at someone's house. Neither were spayed or neutered and Powder was in heat when she arrived. So, luckily, she came just in time to prevent more homeless cats. Now she will know the love and safety of a home. We apologize for the poor quality photo, but it was the only one we had and we didn't want to leave Powder out!
March 2010
Harley and Farrah found their new home for a second time. We were so excited that these two cats could stay together. Originally adopted from us as a pair when they were youngsters, they were recently returned when their family could no longer keep them. We were so thrilled when less than 2 weeks later, they found a new home to take both of them. Pair adoptions are very special and we are very grateful that they still remained together.
Marney was adopted and started her new life. Marney came to us with 12 other cats who were found in cardboard boxes on the side of a road. A passerby noticed the boxes were moving and stopped to find three boxes just filled with cats. No other place to go, they came here. Marney was very shy and it took her a while to come out of her shell, but she did and now landed in just the right place for her.
Dior went to her new home. Dior was originally found with one nursing kitten as a stray and brought to our facility. We had another orphan kitten who desperately needed a mom and Dior was wonderful to take that kitten in and raise it as well as her own. We are thrilled to see her go now to a loving home.
Maxine bunny was adopted into her new home. Previous adopters wanted to add another rabbit to their family and chose Maxine. Unfortunately, we do not have photos due to a technical glitch.
Petunia went to her new home where she can share all of her special bunny love.
Tucker went to his new home. An incredible bunny both in looks and personality, we are sure he will be cherished forever.
Luciana found a very special home. She had been adopted from us once before and then returned to us after her person died. She had only been back for a week when she found her next person to love and be loved by.
Tony went home with one of our volunteers. Tony stole all of our hearts when we found him one dark, cold night outside of our barn. He was scared, tired, and cold and very grateful to come inside. We suspect he was dumped here with a group of cats as we started seeing several others the next day. Unfortunately, the others have never since been found. They ran off from us and we tried unsuccessfully to catch them. This is a fate we are afraid meets lots of cats who are dumped in the country thinking someone will find them. Tony was a very lucky cat who now has a very loving home where he will never be dumped again.
February 2010
Anastasia went to her new home where she can now be loved and cherished. She was found by college students in November 2009 who fell in love with her but were not allowed to have pets. Attempts to find an owner were fruitless and the students were fairly sure she had been dumped on the college campus. Anastasia is blind in one eye but gets along just fine. She was a little shy for the camera so we do not have a photo of her with her adopters.
Harry found a home where he can feel safe and loved. We do not have a photo of Harry with his adopters because he is very shy. Harry was found with 12 other cats this past summer, on the side of the road, in boxes duct taped shut. A good samaratin passing by noticed that the boxes started moving and thankfully checked them out. We are excited for Harry and know he will thrive in his new home.
Alouette found her forever home where she can now share her heart. We found Alouette in our nature sanctuary, obviously recently dumped. After setting a humane trap we caught her and brought her in to safety. She had been declawed and had no chance of survival in the wild. Now she will know a warm home and safety again.
Lyre went to her new home today. Lyre had been with us for almost 4 months after coming to us as a semi-feral kitten. One of our dedicated foster homes really worked with her and taught her that being in a house with people was really a good thing. Still a bit shy, but ready for a new home, she headed out for her new life.
January 2010
Thelma and Louise went to their new home together and get another chance at a loving home. These two sisters had been adopted out and returned twice due to no fault of theirs. They were definitely wanting to stay together and we were determined that these two not be separated. We are excited for them to get another chance.

Sabe went to her new home where she will be able to share her heart with her new person. Sabe was one of 12 cats found on the side of the road in boxes that were duct taped shut. Thank goodness a passerby stopped and put them in their car. They came here where one by one they have been finding a new life.
Lissa went to her new home where she is loved and adored. Lissa came to us as a pregnant stray but then surprised us all with 8 kittens, the largest litter we have had here. Lissa did a great job putting up with 8 rambunctious kittens, especially seeing that she really prefers to live without other cats. In her new home she has a dog friend and can enjoy all the attention of her human companions without having to share with another cat - just the way she likes it! Lissa's new adopters were camera shy so we do not have a photo of her with them.
Bamboo went home with one of our dedicated volunteers. He will be loved and cherished for the rest of his life. Found wandering in the streets totally matted and soiled, now he will know a life of being the emporer in his own home.
Raja and Cookie Crumbles went to their new home together. Both are camera shy so we could not get a photo with their new adopter. Raja came to us from a home that had more animals than they could care for. He was very shy here but is really coming out in his new home!
Cookie Crumbles went home with Raja (above). He had been with us for a year and we are so excited for him to go to a home where he is getting tons of love and attention.
Risen went to her new home. She and her sister Shine came here when their people were moving and could not take them with them. Both of them got adopted to different homes on the same day.
Shine went to her new home. She came here with her sister Risen when their people were moving and could not take them with them. We were thrilled that both of them found their new homes on the same day.
Nikki and Pistol were adopted together. Both of these cats have some special needs and a really special home opened their hearts to the two of them. Nikki came to us as a very tiny kitten, very badly injured after she was unintentially stepped on by a human. She was very behind in her developement for some time as her body fought to heal and succeeded.
Pistol and Nikki went to their new home together. Pistol was found as a stray with her mother. They were brought to us when people saw them continuously crossing a busy street and they caught them before they got hit by a car. Pistol has had a history of on going health issues and we are thrilled to see her go to a loving home.
