Staffworks Save a Life Campaign 2017

STAFFWORKS “SAVE A LIFE” CAMPAIGN

This holiday season, you can help Spring Farm CARES and other animal rescue organizations by donating to a local animal rescue of your choice and having that gift matched dollar-for-dollar! The Staffworks “Save A Life” Campaign will match gifts made between December 1 and December 31 to any rescue organization located in Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, Chenango, Otsego, Broome or Onondaga counties that does not receive public support.

To double the impact of your gift, please visit www.savealifewithstaffworks.com and select the rescue organization(s) you wish to support.

The “Save A Life” Campaign is funded through the Staffworks Charitable Fund at The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, which was created by Staffworks founder and owner, Anita Vitullo, out of her love for animals and her belief in their right to life.

We would like to thank Anita Vitullo for her continued dedication, generosity, and kind heart to offer this opportunity for local animal rescue organizations. Spring Farm CARES holds a special place in our hearts for the work that Anita has done and continues to do.

And we thank all of you for donating. You will be helping many animals have a brighter future and you will indeed be a large part in saving lives.

Thank you!

Iris Perry

1926 - 2017

Iris PerryToday we'd like to pay tribute to a truly outstanding, one-of-a-kind woman who gave tirelessly to our local animal community for over three decades. Iris was a ray of light in an often troubled world. She was generous and kind and witty and there aren't enough adjectives to go on to describe her life. Iris served on our Board of Directors for several years until she had to resign for health reasons. She will be greatly missed.

Iris was the Vice-President and Spokesperson for the Animal Protection League. She facilitated pet adoptions and managed their spay/neuter program, taking many thousands of calls from local pet owners in need for over 3 decades. She worked tirelessly to help every animal she could, but Iris helped a lot of people as well. She was the ear and heart to listen to so many who had no one else to talk to and nowhere else to go. She was and still is a true inspiration.

We were blessed to have known Iris and to have shared many years of sharing the ups and downs of doing this work. One thing we could always count on was her incredible bright light and her wit. In even the hardest of times, Iris would burst out with her big smile and recite an animal themed poem that she wrote and somehow the world always seemed a little brighter.

Thank you Iris for making our world so much brighter. We are sure your light goes on shinning. We will miss you.
